Playground Maps Still Popular
Watching kids walking across the country is easy if their school has a map of the United States in its playground. And thanks to the AT&T Pioneers, a 20 x 30-foot map has become the focal point of the playground in numerous schools throughout the nation.
For almost 20 years, AT&T Pioneers have been painting maps of the United States on school playgrounds across the country. It’s a great project that helps teachers teach history and geography to their students.
Paint manufacturer Sherwin Williams has been a key partner in this project all across the country.
Schools can contact their local Pioneer chapter to inquire about the program.
Pioneers who need the MAP stencils can contact AT&T’s Kansas Chapter’s Wy-Jo Council. They reproduces the MAP stencils and sell them
