Liberty Garden in the Spotlight Again!
In response to the many women, children and men who are in desperate need of emergency housing and associated services, the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program (SHIP) has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for the poor in Central NJ since 1984. This year the AT&T Liberty Garden Pioneers sponsored a holiday food drive collecting donations of food items and supplies for SHIP’s December 25th holiday meal for the disadvantaged. In addition, the Liberty Garden Pioneers made a $250 donation to purchase perishable items for the holiday dinner.
They collected and presented eight boxes of food, twelve cases of vegetables, stuffing, soda and twenty-two (5 pound) tins of cookies that were delivered to SHIP by our project lead and one of his elves. This project truly supports our goal to give back in the communities where we live and work, and represents the true spirit of giving.
