Spotlight on Johnson City Council
On July 31st, 2016 the AT&T Pioneers – Johnson City Council partnered with Good Samaritan Ministries on a “Back-to-School Picnic.” We provided lunch and back-to-school supplies for local under resourced children. It was a day chocked full of fun, games, inflatables, and other activities.
At the end of the 2016 school year over 700 homeless children were reported in the Johnson City community.
Prior to the event a team of 15 volunteers packed boxes and prepared for the event. At the event we handed out the boxes, served lunch, and ran activities for the children. The event was an overwhelming success, providing hope & stability for the children and their families.
