Giving Tuesday Nov. 29
Dear Pioneer,
This year, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, Pioneers are participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving.
Last year, more than 45,000 organizations in 71 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities. We invite you to join the movement and to get out and give this November 29. Some ideas include:
- In honor of our 105th anniversary, hold a Dish It Up campaign with the goal of contributing 105 items of food for the homeless. Or collect 105 pairs of socks for your local shelter or 105 books for children in need.
- Help spread the word about #GivingTuesday. Ask you friends and family to remember the Pioneers on this day of giving by donating through our onine giving campaign. Go to this link to give: PioneersGivingTuesday or donate through our website or Facebook page links.
- Recruit new members. This is the best way to help Pioneers grow our reach in our communities. 105 new members would be a great way to celebrate!
The work we do is a gift we give back to our communities. We can’t begin to thank you enough.
