Lewis & Clark Council Helping Homeless Pets

 In Spotlight

The Lewis & Clark Council collected items for the KC Pet Project to help homeless animals.  They collected a blanket for each animal, toys, and other items on the organization’s wish list.
The project was a success!!  They donated 110 new blankets, jars of peanut butter, 12 cans of dog food, 12 cans of cat food, 10 lbs. of treats, and more.  We delivered the items on December 22 just in time for Christmas.  The council also donated $250 to this worthy organization.
KC Pet Project is a 501c3, nonprofit charitable organization operating the Kansas City, Missouri Animal Shelter and care for over 10,000 animals a year and work collaboratively with Animal Control and other animal welfare organizations to increase the number of homeless pets adopted.
